This place is a staple for a reason. It was so good I forgot to get pictures. It feels like a great combo of locals and tourists. It's a great open space vibe that has a TON of seating. Food is delicious! we'll be back!

Best time to come is for a late lunch, available till 4pm Then Happy hour starts at 4pm

While having our high school reunion, Nico's Pier 38 was on our itinerary. We had our lunch here after visiting The Byodo-In Temple. It's located in the heart of Honolulu's seafood scene. This casual, waterfront restaurant offers some of the freshest and most delicious fish I've ever tasted. The menu features an impressive selection of locally-sourced fish, prepared in a variety of styles. We also bought some bags to take home as souvenirs. The atmosphere at Nico's is laid-back and casual, with beautiful views of the harbor. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing meal while watching the boats come and go. We chose to be seated outside which added some fun while enjoying our food, though I can't recall the specific name of the dish we ordered. Prices are very reasonable, considering the quality of the food. Most entrees range from $20-$30, which is a steal for the freshness and portion sizes. Whether you're a local or just visiting Oahu, I highly recommend making a trip to Nico's Pier 38. It's quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Honolulu. Just be sure to come hungry, because you'll want to save room for seconds!

Went to Nicos yesterday and what really stood out to me was the amazing service we got. I can't remember the name but he was extremely helpful and was there to answer any and all questions we had. In terms of the ambiance this place is cute. It's next to the harbor so you can see ships and boats when you look outside which is nice. The food is average as its best so definitely suggest the spot more for the views. Now going to the food we ordered: * Shrimp scampi pasta - this was a creamy pasta dish with fried capers and shrimp. This also came with a soft buttery garlic bread that was perfect to mop up the sauce. * Cheeseburger - this came with double patty which was nice soft and tender along with the cheese and usual burger veggies. It came with fries also which was nice. I asked for a side of garlic aioli dip as well which was nice. *Drink - we got a drink with lots of different flavors like mango pineapple and coconut I believe. It was yummy and refreshing for the evening portion of the night! Overall, good experience here and enjoyed with the hubby!

Nico's its a not so hidden gem. Is one of local's favorite because the fish is so fresh and well prepared you can't go wrong with this place. From noon to sunset is a bit more self service. After 6ish they do have servers that come to your table. This is the first spot I visit whenever I land, and it never disappoints. Please order blackened furikake Ahi! you are going to love it. I dont have pictures because I always forget and I literally devour Nico's food! Ambiance is lovely, they have live music sometimes!

So awesome having the akule special plate Always my go to whenever we stop by We had a craving for fish today

I enjoyed a great Father's Day lunch with my daughter, SIL, and granddaughter on Sunday. Even though the place was packed with similar diners, tourists, and the like, parking was no issue. Our timing was pretty good because we were able to find an outside table under the roof and enjoyed the nice breeze while dining and listening to the live music. There is no table service, so it's a bit of a hassle to order and get your food and drinks, but once you know their process (which is clearly shown on the sign as you enter), you know what to do (it also helps if there's more than one person). We had the Garlic shrimp plate, the Fish and Chips plate, and their #4 plate, a Surf and Turf (ribeye with fried shrimp). Everything was excellent, and the atmosphere was really nice, with all the families out to enjoy Father's Day. They offer a full bar with a good selection of beers on tap and bottles, wine, and a few signature cocktails. Since there's no table service, you do need to order (and get) your drinks at the bar after getting your table and ordering your food (that's why it helps to have more people in your party). All in all, it was a nice relaxing Sunday to enjoy Father's Day with family.

Fantastic!!! Great food and prices!! We were a group of 10, bill was $310. And we ate everything from seafood to burgers!!! Check 'em out and tell them big Louie from LA sentja!!!

Came here for lunch on a weekday after the rave reviews from our Uber driver. The location is nice, with a lot of space and an outdoor area that was peaceful. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess as soon as we walked in. You can order in the restaurant or you can also order at the fish market side where you can get poke and bring it over. We decided to go over to the fish market to check out the poke. We got the Hawaiian Plate (Friday's only) which had Pork Lau Lau, Kalua Pig, Lomi Salmon, and Poi, and also poke bowl. The person behind the poke counter was not friendly, but the deli cashier was nice. There was so much poke to choose from! It all looked beautiful. We got two scoops of ahi deluxe and one ginger style poke. The person behind the counter misheard our order and gave us two scoops of ginger style and one scoop of deluxe. When we pointed it out, she dumped a portion of the ginger style back in its tub behind the counter. It already touched our hot rice so not sure if that's normal or not. We sat outside and enjoyed the calm sunny day. The lomi lomi salmon was overly salty and the kalua pig was dry; I liked the pork lau lau the most. The amount of rice and kalua pork were massive. It was my friend's first time trying poi and he thought it was okay. I wanted us to try a Hawaiian meal together at least once during the trip, and this was good enough. All in all I'd come back to try more poke!
